Sriracha Shrimp Tacos
Wonton Tacos recipe was a huge hit, so I wanted
to say thank you to everyone who is following along with my blog, and those who
are viewing it for the first time. I love the idea of sharing ideas with one
another. This is why I am a huge Pinterest user.
So the spicy sriracha shrimp tacos are in the
same category as the wontons. The differences are the meat, and no frying.
Simple, easy, and you can turn up the heat, or cool it down. Cooking is great
in that way, you can edit and make
correction when needed.
Prep Time: 14 minutes
Cook Time: 6 minutes
Serves: 4-6 people
What You Need
- 8-12 Soft Corn Tortillas
- 1 Pound Shrimp deveined (frozen is fine, but thaw first)
- ½ Teaspoon Paprika
- ¼ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ¼ Teaspoon Salt
- 1/8 Teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Sriracha Chili Sauce (use ½ the amount for less spice)
- ¼ Cup ranch dressing or homemade
- 1 bag of Chopped Cabbage
- 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar (optional)
- 2 Limes
- Freshly chopped Cilantro or dry is fine. (add small amounts at first or depending on taste buds, taste soapy)
Instructions
Unthaw shrimp as directed by manufacture. One thawed,
refrigerate while doing next steps.
In a small bowl whisk together ranch and
sriracha, set aside.
In a medium bowl combine cabbage, vinegar,
honey, salt, pepper, cilantro, lime juice (cut lime in half, use on half to
squeeze into mix, the other half set aside). Toss everything together. May need
to add more honey depending on your taste buds. Refrigerate while doing next
step.
Make sure shrimp is dry, season with paprika,
garlic, and pepper. Season both sides. Using a large skillet warm up olive oil,
pam, or butter on medium heat. Toss shrimp on skillet and cook for about 2
minutes on each side.
Using a cutting board take cooked shrimp and
dice up into smaller pieces.
Get cabbage mix out of refrigerator.
Cut lime in half.
To plate lay down tortilla first. Add shrimp, drizzle sriracha ranch, then top it with cabbage mix. Add extra cilantro if you like. Squeeze
a small amount of lime juice on completed taco, fold up and enjoy.
