The Newlywed Guide to Cooking introduction.
The
Newlywed Guide to Cooking
Hello everyone . . .
I had an idea that came to mind to start a
simple cookbook for all of us newlyweds, college students and those who are new to cooking. In my busy life I always struggle to come up with ideas for dinner. If you have a spouse like mine, they tend to be laid back and anything is better than nothing. As long as they eat, they are happy.
I want to tell you guys a little about myself.
My name is Brittany, I am not a professional cook. I simply have had a lot of
experiences with being in a pinch and need to create dinner with limited items.
Some are huge hits, and others . . . well they turn out interesting. I am from
a small town in Michigan, so I know how to make super unhealthy foods, and Midwest
hearty meals. I have been with my husband for six years, married for three of
them. I have been cooking since I was 15; however, my family does not
have “secret” recipe book with items that are handed down generation to
generation; therefore, Pinterest has been an extremely helpful website. I plan
to share my experiences with the recipes I find and also share the alterations
I have made along the way. I love to find random items in the
kitchen and create a meal out of nothing.
Please let me express to you how little
experience I have with blogging. This is my first blog, and I am sure it will
have some issues, from improper grammar, run-on sentences, and a list of
mistakes I will discover along the way. I will apology now for all future
mistakes. I plan to post at least three post per week. I also will be giving
some grocery shopping tips, items to always have in your pantry, holiday treat,
some baked goods, and how to cook for a large group. My goal with this blog is
to help out and ease the burden of those who are in charge of cooking for the
evening.
