Pasta is amazing and I have a lot of fun and delicious. This recipe is so
simple you toss in all into the crockpot and leave it to cook. The best part. .
. You do not have to precook anything. Trust me it works.
Prep
Time: 20 minutes.
Cook
Time: 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Crockpot
Temp: Low.
Serves:
6-8 people.
What
You Need
- 2 24oz jars of pasta sauce. (any flavor, any brand)
- 1 15oz Tomato Sauce.
- 1 Pound of uncooked Penne Pasta.
- 15 oz Ricotta Cheese.
- 2 Eggs.
- 1/3 Cup of Fresh or Dry Basil
- 2 Cups of Grated Parmesan Cheese.
- 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese.
- Crockpot.
Instructions
Combine
ricotta, eggs, parmesan and basil into a mixing bowl and stir well.
In
a large bowl, combine both pasta sauce and tomato sauce together.
Spray
crockpot bottom, and sides with non-stick cooking spray.
Add
2 Cups of pasta sauce tomato mix to the bottom of the crockpot.
Add
½ of the uncooked penne to crockpot.
Add
ricotta cheese to crockpot and spread out evenly.
Add
the remaining sauce and pasta to crockpot. Cook for 2-3 hours or until pasta is
soft. Stir half way through cooking.
In
the last 10 minutes of cooking add mozzarella cheese to top and allow to melt. When cheese is melted serve.
Note:
Serve Hot.
